Credit Union Place recently switched its online ticket sales over to Ticketmaster, using the system for the first time when selling tickets for Hedley’s May 28 concert.

With the first successful dry run of the new system it was decided to convert ticket sales for the upcoming Capital One Grand Slam of Curling to Ticketmaster.

“In mid-stream we converted from Theatre Manager to Ticketmaster just to provide ease of access for customers,” said Desrosiers. “Tickets are moving like wildfire.”

He admitted the curling event poses its own issues when it comes to ticket sales.

“There are people that want to buy single draw tickets for all 17 games but they want to sit in different seats because they are following certain match ups,” added Desrosiers. “The nice thing is that Ticketmaster has been through Briers and Scotties and big curling events and they are actually going to be onsite that week to give us support.”
