The sixth annual Fall Fling junior cashspiel gets underway Friday afternoon at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside, with 12 junior men’s teams and an equal number of junior women’s rinks from PEI and Nova Scotia competing for top prizes of $600, plus $300 for the runner-up rinks, and $125 for the other semi-finalists.
Friday round robin draws are at 1, 3:30, 6, and 8:30 pm, with Saturday games at 8 and 10:30 am, 12 noon, and 3:30, 6, and 8:30 pm. The semi-finals go Sunday at 9 am, with the finals at 1 pm. All games on Friday and Saturday are 8 ends, while the Sunday championship round will play 10 end games. There are two pools of six teams in both the junior men’s and junior women’s round robin sections.
