Having problems using IE on our Results websites?

Devices

We are currently in the process of making our Results websites (such as https://peicurling.com/juniors) “responsive” to a wide variety of screen sizes in order to accommodate the wide variety of devices, from smartphones, to tablets, to large screen displays, that are gradually replacing laptops and desktops as the most popular way to view the Internet. The websites automatially swiitch from a “wide” view of the results for all four ice sheets in a draw on larger screens to a  “narrow” format showing just one game across the screen on small screens.

Our statistics show that over 40% of the viewers of the results for the Pepsi Juniors so far are coming from small screen devices such as iPhones and Android smartphones, who can access our results “on the go”. They also show that over half the viewers to the Juniors site are using the Safari browser, commonly used in products such as iPhones, iPads, Macs (and also available on PC), which is indicative of the widespread adoption of the iPhone, and the iPad and iPad Mini tablets.

However, just as we did when we converted our main PEICurling.com website to be “responsive”, we are running into formatting problems with the Internet Explorer browser. We have made some improvements based on feedback, but, until we work out all the problems, the quick solution is to upgrade to a modern standards-compliant browser such as Firefox (http://www.firefox.com), Safari (http://www.apple.com/safari/), or Google Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome). Thank you for your understanding – we are sure you’ll be much happier with a non-IE browser, anyway!
