Only two entry deadlines remain for Curl PEI curling events in the 2013 curling season.

February 25 is the deadline for the Advantage Communications/Curl PEI Provincial Junior Mixed Curling Championships, for teams of two male and two female curlers, with both Under 21 and Under 16 divisions, which take place March 15 to 18 at the Charlottetown Curling Complex.

KFC and Curl PEI are again sponsoring two events for the Under 13 age category. Registration has already closed for the 6-end boys and girls provincial championships, from March 7-10 at the Crapaud Community Curling Club.

Entry deadline is March 1 for the KFC fun tournament for beginning curlers, with a maximum of two curlers with two or more years experience permitted on a team, taking place on March 24 at the Cornwall Curling Club.  Any combination of boys and girls is permitted on a team for the event, which also includes off-ice fun and games. A coach or chaperone is requested to be on the ice for each game. Entry fee is $20 per person. Games are 4 ends.Entries must be made online at PEICurling.com.

In both events, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded to the top 3 teams, based on total points (10 pts for a win, 5 for a tie, 2 points/end, and 1 pt difference of score up to max. of 5).
