National Legion Curling Ch’ships start this afternoon in Alberton – Live results at PEICurling.com

The Summerside Legion (Branch number 5) team of Mel Bernard, Blair Jay, Lou Nowlan, and Earl Proude are representing PEI at the national Dominion Legion Curling Championships, which get underway this afternoon at the Western Community Curling Club in Alberton. The event is hosted by the St. Anthony’s Branch (number 27). Live results will be available at PEICurling.com/legion.

Seven teams, from BC/Yukon to Newfoundland and Labrador, are playing a round robin format to determine this year’s Dominion championship team. Play gets underway Sunday afternoon at 2 pm, following the 1:30 pm opening ceremonies, and wraps up on Wednesday, either with the 9 am draw, or, if a tiebreaker is required, with an extra draw at 2 pm.
