Nova Scotia’s Pinkney rink off to Canadian Seniors final (Journal Pioneer)

Three teams tied for second place

SUMMERSIDE – The undefeated Colleen Pinkney rink from Nova Scotia has punched its ticket to the women’s championship game of the 2013 Canadian senior curling championships.

Pinkney and her Truro Curling Club rink edged P.E.I.’s Nola Murphy foursome from the host Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club 11-8 in Wednesday’s noon-hour draw to improve to 9-0 (won-lost). Three teams – Quebec’s Catherine Derick, Alberta’s Deb Santos and Manitoba’s Lois Fowler – are tied for second place at 6-3. All 12 women’s teams have two round-robin games remaining.
