Islanders play huge game vs. N.S. this afternoon

SUMMERSIDE – The P.E.I. men’s entry at the 2013 Canadian senior curling championships made it four straight wins on Thursday morning.

The Rod MacDonald-skipped rink from the Charlottetown Curling Complex and host Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club scored points in six of the seven completed ends to down the Northwest Territories’ Glen Hudy 7-1.

The win improved P.E.I.’s record to 6-2 (won-lost) heading into an important game against Nova Scotia’s Alan O’Leary later today at 4 p.m. Nova Scotia lost 10-5 to Saskatchewan’s Gord Bell in morning action to fall to 5-3. Saskatchewan is 3-5.
