PEI men win fifth in a row at Canadian Seniors (Journal Pioneer)

SUMMERSIDE – Rod MacDonald and his P.E.I. rink are right in the middle of the playoff race at the 2013 Canadian senior curling championships.

Thursday, MacDonald won twice to extend his winning streak to five games and improve to 7-2 (won-lost). That is good enough for a three-way tie for second place with Alberta’s Wade White and Ontario’s Howard Rajala.

MacDonald plays Ontario on Friday at 10 a.m., and then completes round-robin play against Newfoundland and Labrador’s Glenn Goss at 7 p.m.
