The City of Summerside PEI, who hosted last year’s edition of The Players’ Championship Grand Slam of Curling event, have announced that they will be making a “BIG announcement” for Credit Union Place and the City, live from Toronto at about 5:45 p.m., local time, on Rogers Sportsnet Television, during a broadcast of this year’s Players’ event.

Speculation is that the announcement will be related to another curling event to be held at Credit Union Place. It was reported last year that Grand Slam organizers were impressed with both the Credit Union Place venue, and the fan support for the event.
