Ramsay and Carmody in the Prestige Classic in Vernon BC this weekend

PEI natives Geri-Lynn Ramsay, on the Crystal Webster rink out of Calgary, and Erin Carmody, third on the Laura Crocker team from Edmonton, are taking part in the 32 team Prestige Hotels and Resorts Curling Classicl in Vernon BC, which got underway today, and wraps up on Sunday, with $39.500 up for grabs. In men’s curling, Team Gushue, which includes PEI natives Brett Gallant and Adam Casey have the weekend off.

The Crocker rink won their opener over Kerry Galusha of the Northwest Territories 8-3, while the Webster team plays another Calgary foursome, skipped by Amy Nixon, in their 5 pm Atlantic opener. The final goes 8 pm AT on Sunday.
