Prospective curlers give the Olympic sport a shot across PEI on Sports Day in Canada

On Saturday, prospective curlers of all ages were given the opportunity to try out the Olympic sport at all seven dedicated PEI curling facilities, as part of RBC Sports Day in Canada, presented by ParticipACTION, CBC and True Sport. There will also be a drawing for a $100 gift certificate, redeemable at the curling club of their choice, awarded on Monday from among the attendees. PEI Junior Women’s champ Veronica Smith, who was coordinating the event, was on-hand at several of the clubs, and helped out on the ice with some of the younger attendees at the Cornwall Curling Club.
