Jones defeats Middaugh to win Women’s Canadian Curling Trials (TSN)

(TSN) Jennifer Jones scored three in the second end and never looked back as her Winnipeg rink rolled to an 8-4 win over Ontario’s Sherry Middaugh in the women’s final of the Canadian Curling Trials on Saturday.

Jones and her rink of Kaitlyn Lawes, Jill Officer and Dawn McEwen will now represent Canada at Sochi 2014 in February.

Jones finished first in the roundrobin with a record of 6-1 and earned a bye directly to the final.

Brad Jacobs faces John Morris in the men’s final on Sunday at 3:30pm AT on TSN.
