It took an extra end, but the Kim Dolan rink is the provincial champion.

The squad defeated the Kathy O’Rourke team 6-4 Sunday in the P.E.I. Scotties Tournament of Hearts final. Both rinks play out of the Charlottetown Curling Complex.

“I’m pretty ecstatic,” Dolan said after the contest. “I have a great group of girls, my daughter being one of them. I feel very fortunate I can go to another nationals with her.”

Dolan’s first shot in the extra end narrowly squeezed by a guard to sit two in front of a standing room only crowd at the Charlottetown Curling Complex.

Robyn Green was throwing skip rocks for the O’Rourke rink. Her last shot was heavy and went through the house, clinching the victory for the Dolan foursome.
