The Crapaud Community Curling Club are this year’s hosts for the Advantage Communications Provincial Junior Mixed Curling Championships, from March 20-23. The James Dalton combined team from the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside, and the Cornwall Curling Club, won the Under 16 division last year, while the Kyle Holland rink from the Charlottetown Curling Complex and the Cornwall Curling Club were the Under 21 champs. Dalton is back this year, in the Under 21 division. Three teams are entered this year in the double round robin U16 section, while 5 have signed up for the U21, which will use a single round robin format.

The top two teams out of the U16 double round robin will advance to the 6 pm final on Sunday, March 23, unless a team goes undefeated, in which case they will be declared the champion without playing the final.The second and third place finishers from the U21 round robin will play in a semi-final at 2 pm on the 23rd, with the winner taking on the first place finisher in the 6 pm final.

Opening draw is 7 pm on Thursday March 20, with Friday action at 2 and 6 pm, with opening ceremonies at 5:15. Saturday play is at 10 am and 2 and 6 pm, with a tiebreaker round, if required, going at 10 am Sunday, followed by the 2 pm U21 semi-final, and the 6 pm U21, and, if needed, U16 finals.
