Owen Collier and his Montague rink won their final double round robin game last night by a 7-6 score in an extra end over the Alex Gallant foursome from the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside to go undefeated with a 4-0 record and win the Under 16 division at the Atlantic Communications Junior Mixed in Crapaud. The rules specify that a final will not be needed in that division if a team goes undefeated. Cornwall and Crapaud’s Mitchell Schut finished second at 2-2, while Gallant went 0-4.

James Dalton, who won the U16 division last year, finished atop the U21 single round robin standings with a 3-1 win-loss record, and earns a ticket to the 6 pm Sunday final. Three teams finished with 2-2 records, necessitating a tiebreaker between Leslie Noye and his combined Crapaud, Western, and Charlottetown team and Danielle Collings from Montague and Crapaud, which was won by Collings, 7-6 in an extra end. Collings now plays Alan MacLean and his Silver Fox/Cornwall rink in the semi-final at 2 pm, with the winner facing Dalton in the final. Kelly-Lynn Younker of Cornwall finished play at 1-3.
