Twenty-nine curlers, primarily representing competitive teams, were in attendance last evening for a session with Curl PEI.

Topics discussed included draw formats for Curl PEI-run provincial championships, start/end times of events, number of draws per day, number of events, event-specific problems, event calendar (best dates for specific events), how best to prepare for national events. The latter topic  discussed strategies for dealing with the CCA’s new  Pre-Qualification (sometimes referred to as “Relegation”) for various events, as well as Curl PEI assistance (primarily regarding accessing available funding) to attend national events.

A committee is being formed to take the information gathered and make recommendations to the Curl PEI Board of Directors for ratification at the Annual General Meeting.
