The product of the junior program at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside is the second stone with the Brad Gushue rink from St. John’s, N.L. Gushue is one of the 24 teams – 12 men and 12 women – competing in the Grand Slam of Curling’s season-ending event at Eastlink Arena in Summerside from April 15 to 20.

“I always look forward to coming home,” said Casey in a phone interview on Thursday evening. “I try to get home as often as I can, which is not very often.

“Any chance I get to play in Summerside is great, and I get to see everybody and reconnect. . .

“Hopefully, lots of people come out and cheer us on. I’m really looking forward to it. I love playing in Credit Union Place.”

Third season

This is Casey’s third season with Team Gushue, which also includes third stone Brett Gallant of Charlottetown and lead Geoff Walker.
