Team Manitoba wins Canadian Fire Fighters Ch’ship, PEI makes it to Page ch’ship round

The 56th Canadian Fire Fighters Curling Championship wrapped up on Saturday in Valleyfield and Huntingdon Quebec, with  Team Manitoba, from the Winnipeg Fire Department, skipped by Ryan Lalonde, defeating Team Alberta 11-3 in the final. Manitoba took four points in the fifth end, and stole a triple in the 6th, to bring the game to an early conclusion. PEI, represented by the Leo Stewart team from the Summerside Fire Department, lost  to BC 6-3 in the Page 3-4 game. PEI won two tiebreakers to advance to the Page round. BC then lost 7-6 to Manitoba in the semi-final.

Alberta and Manitoba both went 8-2 in the round robin, with BC going 7-3, and PEI 6-4, tied with Northern and Southern Ontario.
