The curling season was a bit shorter 100 years ago. This page 2 article from the January 12 1916 PEI Guardian indicates that curling at the Charlottetown Curling Club, which would have taken place on natural ice, was just getting underway for the season, with the skips being selected, and other players asked to submit their names. A competition was planned for the following week against teams from Pictou Nova Scotia, which is easily accessible from Charlottetown via boat.
