Special Olympics curling athlete receives sponsorship from iWave

iwaveSpecial Olympics PEI would like to thank iWave Information Systems for supporting Team PEI Curling athlete Monique Gauthier through the Draft an Athlete fundraising campaign! Curler John Anthony Laybolt was previously drafted, by ArsenaultBestCameronEllis Chartered Accountants.

Draft an Athlete allows local businesses to sponsor an athlete and / or coach in their communities.

Next month 28 athletes and 14 volunteer coaches and mission staff will represent Prince Edward Island at the 2016 Special Olympics National Winter Games in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Island athletes will be competing in cross country skiing, curling, figure skating, floor hockey and snowshoeing.|
The cost for Team PEI to travel, train and be fitted for the 2016 Special Olympics National Winter Games is over $82, 000. Team members and their families are working hard to raise money by holding fundraising events across PEI, however, they also need your help.

The Team PEI Draft an Athlete program allows local businesses to sponsor an athlete and / or coach in their communities. Sponsorship to the Draft an Athlete program will showcase your support for Special Olympics PEI and will help offset the cost of these Games.
Businesses and employees may pledge to “Draft” a Team PEI member by holding their own internal fundraiser or by making a corporate donation.
