Entry deadlines: Dec. 28 for Scotties, Tankard, Jan. 6 for Future Tankard/Scotties, and Masters

Curlers are reminded that Wednesday, December 28, 2016 is the entry deadline for the Scotties provincial women’s and the Tankard provincial men’s championships, while Friday, January 6 is the deadline to enter the Future Scotties and Future Tankard developmental events for female and male curlers under 21, and the PEI Masters Curling Championship, with men’s and women’s sections for curlers age 60 and over.

The Scotties, Tankard, and Future events are all taking place at the six-sheet Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Community Complex in Summerside, with the Scotties and Tankard going January 18-24 2017, and the Future events happening at the same time over fewer days – between January 20 and 22. The Masters takes place at the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary from January 27-31.  Dates may change slightly depending on the number of teams that signup.

Entry fee for the Scotties and the Tankard is $190 per team, plus $39 per player Curling Canada Participant fees. The Future Scotties and Future Tankard are $85 per team, while the Masters entry fee is set at $185 per team.

Entries must be made online at PEICurling.com. Payment can be made either online or by cheque.

Live end-by-end results, using Curling Canada’s “Curling.io” results system, will be available at PEICurling.com/scoreboard.

The winning PEI Scotties team will advance to the 2017 SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS, Operated by Curling Canada, from February 18-26, 2017 at the
Meridian Centre, St. Catharines, Ont.

The winning PEI Tankard team will play in the 2017 TIM HORTONS BRIER, Operated by Curling Canada, March 4-12, 2017 at the Mile One Centre, St. John’s, Nfld.

The PEI Masters winners and runners-up advance to the Maritime Masters Curling Championships, from March 16-28 2017 at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Community Complex in Summerside.

The PEI Masters winners (or runners-up should they choose not to attend) are also invited to participate in the 2017 Canadian Masters, at the Guelph Curling Club in Ontario, from April 3 – 9, 2017.
