Charlottetown Curling Club Manager
Responsibilities
• Solicit and secure advertising revenue and booking revenue;
• Arrange bookings of both ice and facility;
• Report to the Board on any funding opportunities;
• Provide support to, and advise the Charlottetown Curling Club Board of Directors
• Operate the club at a high level of efficiency on a daily and yearly basis;
• Ensure the club adheres to all provincial and federal regulations/standards regarding normal club operations;
• Attend Board meetings to provide necessary information for the Board to make informed decisions;
• Ensure normal hours of operation for the club, including notification of cancellation;
• Ensure club is opened and closed properly each day and at the beginning and conclusion of each season;
• Respond to inquiries (e.g. personal, by telephone, mail or email);
• Ensure the procurement of all materials and supplies required for the operation of the Club;
• In conjunction with the Board Treasurer maintain all financial accounts;
• Prepare financial reports as required;
• Issue relevant employment forms (e.g. T4, ROE)
• Maintain the filing system in an efficient and accessible manner;
• Oversee bar staff;
• Supervise Ice Tech and Cleaner/Events Coordinator;
• Coordinate volunteers (bartenders, event volunteers, etc…);
• Oversee league coordinators;
• Other duties as required;
Minimum Requirements
• College Diploma in Management or related experience required;
• Previous experience in a similar managerial role would be an asset;
• Able to work independently and generate revenue for the Club;
Compensation
• To be determined based on qualifications and experience; and
• An arrangement of commission for revenue generation to be negotiated in addition to salary.
