Reminder: Curl PEI Ice Tech Tour begins this evening (Monday) at Ch’town

This is a reminder that the Curl PEI Ice Tech Tour begins this evening, from 6-8 pm at the Charlottetown Curling Club. Currently there is one attendee signed up from Crapaud, along with 3 from Charlottetown, and 1 from Souris.

Each stop is free to attend and mileage will be provided to those travelling.

Please contact Amy Duncan – 902-368-4208 or [email protected] if you plan to attend (and have not already contacted her).

Curl PEI is conducting an Ice Technicians Tour, open to anyone who helps with ice at their curling club and is looking to learn more. Three stops on the Tour have been set up:

Stop Two:
6-8 pm, Monday, December 17 @
Charlottetown Curling Complex

Stop One was postponed due to weather to:

6-8 pm, Wednesday, December 19 @
Western Community CC

Stop Three:
6-8 pm, Friday, December 28 @
Crapaud Community Curling Club

Level 3 Ice Technician Larry Richards will be the facilitator at each stop on the Tour.

Ice Technicians – trained, experienced, new, paid and/or volunteer – from all PEI curling clubs are invited to attend each stop on the Ice Tech Tour.

The goal of this project is to help share knowledge and experience as it relates to ice and stone maintenance in different conditions.
