Charlottetown Curling Club Update: Closed Immediately

The Charlottetown Curling Club Board of Directors continued to monitor the situation surrounding COVID-19 Virus pandemic and has come to the conclusion that they must close for the remainder of the season, effective immediately.

Comparisons to the Spanish Flu, recommendations that social distancing is essential to minimize transmission, the long incubation period of the virus, and the growing list of cancellations provincially make it difficult for them to justify staying open.  While the building is usually occupied in small groups, maintaining a 2-metre distance between people and keeping the facility disinfected to the level necessary to reduce risk would be difficult to address and remedy.
They will be following up in the days to come with more information regarding members who have lockers at the facility. They thank everyone for the season and urge everyone to stay safe.
