Curl PEI U18 Curling Ch’ships being held after all. Registration reopened

Great news for Under 18 Junior Curlers!
In light of new information provided by the PEI Department of Health and Wellness, it has been determined that the Curl PEI Provincial U18 Curling Championships can move forward as originally scheduled, from January 8-12, 2021.  Registration is being reopened with a deadline of Monday, December 21, and teams will have to re-enter. As fees were refunded, teams will also have to resubmit any payments.  Register online at: https://pe.curling.io/en/competitions 

The following measures will be in place:

  • If there are more than 9 teams in total, they will be separated into two cohorts.
  • There will be no spectators at the event.
  • No one can come from outside of PEI to the event.
  • Teams are not to interact outside of the games.
  • CPHO is asking that hotel stays are kept to a minimum with only those who are traveling a distance staying in a hotel.
  • All other public health measures also apply.

Other event details:

January 8-12, 2021 at the Montague Curling Club.

Competitors will be a maximum of 17 years of age on June 30 of the year prior to the competition.

Teams must consist of no less than 4 males or 4 females.

Teams require a coach who is Club Coach Trained; Intro Comp Coach Trained; or old Level 1 Certified on their registration form to participate in the event and on-site for each game.

All competitions will adhere to the PEI Public Health Guidance and Curl PEI’s Operational Plan. Events may be cancelled at any time.
