Curling returning to PEI clubs following “Circuit Breaker”

Following the PEI Government’s announcement on Thursday that their “Circuit Breaker” guidelines would be eased as of 8 am today (Friday), team sports including curling can now resume.

Annual mid-season ice renewal at Cornwall

Curling is resuming on Sunday at the Cornwall Curling Club, following the mid-season ice renewal that is currently underway.  They have also scheduled games between Christmas and New Year’s Day this year. Updated schedules are posted.

Play returns on Monday at Crapaud and curlers are asked to follow the Dec 21 draw schedule.

Montague is also getting underway, with updated schedules being posted.

The Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary reports that they will have the ice ready for the Monday regular league draw as well as the Tuesday afternoon Stick league. 

Due to the Circuit Breaker, the Silver Fox in Summerside had to cancel their planned Doubles Bonspiel, as well as the Leo Stewart Memorial Bonspiel and will try to hold these events in 2021. Curling is back, with a couple of updates:
Regular league curling:
Monday Tuesday and Wednesday PM, Dec 21, 22, 23
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday PM, Dec 28, 29, 30.
Attention: Thursday Teams:
Sunday December 27, at 2 pm, Thursday, Dec 31 at new time 5:30 (this is New year’s Eve)
This will help to make up for missed games for Thursday league. There will be ice available for Saturday, Jan 2 at 2, if some Thursday teams need to reschedule for any reason. Please reach out to your Thursday teams, and ensure that you can play any of these times.
All Playoffs will take place the week of January 4-7.
The Next draw starts Week of January 11th.

The Souris Curling Club, which curls on Tuesdays at the Eastern Kings Sportsplex has announced that curling will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 22nd.
