U16 Dev’t League, with teams from around PEI, kicks off Sat. at Cornwall

The U16 Development League, with teams from across the Island, starts this Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Cornwall Curling Club with some talented new as well as experienced returning teams, some of whom will be working on their competition skills as they vie to represent PEI at the 2023 Canada Winter Games, with the PEI Trials scheduled for February 2022 in Summerside, and the Games also taking place there a year later.

The League normally gets underway at 10 am, but will begin at 9:30 am the first week only as, after their game, each member of every team will throw a draw to the button. The best 3 out of 4 measurements will be used for tiebreaking purposes (if records are tied after head-to-head results).

Note also that:
  • All players, coaches, and spectators must provide proof of vaccination upon entering the curling club
  • To maintain CPHO guidelines, a maximum of seven (7) spectators per team will be allowed.

Here is the draw and schedule (drag to see the entire table on narrow touchscreens).
