Teams Gushue, with PEI’s Brett Gallant, won their opener 5-4 against Team Gunnlaugson, with Islander Adam Casey, in the triple-knockout Boost National Grand Slam of Curling event in Chestermere AB, and won their next 2 games against teams Dunstone and Mouat, to advance to the quarter-finals on Saturday evening at 7 AT. Gunnlaugson is at 1-2.
South Korea’s Eun-Jung Kim rink, coached by Islander Peter Gallant, is 1-2 in the women’s event.
