Savill rink wins PEI U13 Open Ch’ship, with win over Myers team in the final

The four-team PEI U13 Open (any combination of male and/or female players) Curling Championship wrapped up Sunday afternoon at the Montague Curling Club, with Cornwall’s Aiden Savill rink winning the championship game, 9-1 over their clubmates, the Grace Myers team. Both teams finished round-robin play with 2-1 win-loss records to advance to the final, while the Mary Jane Gavin-Shea team from the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary, and Cornwall’s Kolin Beaton team finished with 1-2 win-loss records.

2 Beaton There will be no tie-breakers played for placement.
3 Savill Placement for final positions will be determined first by win/loss, then head to head between tied teams, then cumulative Last Stone Delivery (draw to the button) and finally by Hit, Draw, Tap points.
4 Gavin-Shea   The top two teams will advance to the championship game.
