2025 Curl PEI Masters Curling Championships Begin Thursday

The Crapaud Community Curling Club is set to host the 2025 Curl PEI Masters Curling Championships from January 16-19, 2025. This exciting event will feature some of the best curling action on the Island as teams compete for the coveted titles in both the women’s and men’s divisions.

Women’s Division

The women’s division will see three talented teams face off in a competitive double knockout format, culminating in a thrilling playoff to determine the champion. Among the contenders is defending champion Shirley Berry, who will be looking to defend her title and add another trophy to her impressive curling career. With the intensity of the double knockout format, fans can expect each game to be high-stakes and action-packed.

  • Darlene London, Bev Harding, Gail Greene and Susan Watts from the Montague Curling Club
  • Debbie Rhodenhizer, Nancy MacFadyen, Donna Marie, Karen Hardy and Julie Scales from the Cornwall Curling Club
  • Shirley Berry, Karren Currie, Sherren MacKinnon and Sandra Sobey from the Cornwall Curling Club

Men’s Division

The men’s division features six formidable teams battling it out in a modified triple knockout format. The defending champion, Peter Rousseau, will return to the ice, aiming to reclaim his title against a field of determined challengers. With more teams and a unique format, the men’s division promises a dynamic and unpredictable competition.

  • Gordon Fall, Frank MacDonald, Carl Nicholson and Ben Kennedy from the Crapaud Community Curling Club
  • Blair Jay, Kent MacKay, Donald Vickerson and Garth Thompson from the Summerside Curling Club
  • Ian MacMillan, Glen Betts, Paul Wood and William Aylward from the West Prince Curling Club
  • Ian Reade, Garth Cudmore, Elliot Doiron and Edgar Coffin from the Cornwall Curling Club
  • Peter Rousseau, Mark O’Rourke, John Mullin and Phillip McInnis from the Cornwall Curling Club
  • Blair Weeks, Alan Inman, Paul Morrison and Danny Kneabone from the Crapaud Community  Curling, Cornwall Curling Club and Montague Curling Club
