Jenny & Edward White Capture 2025 PEI Mixed Doubles Curling Championship

The 2025 PEI Mixed Doubles Curling Championship has concluded, and history has repeated itself as Jenny and Edward White claimed their fifth title in six years. The duo showcased their dominance throughout the event, securing victories in both the A and B Qualifiers, putting themselves in a strong position heading into the playoffs.

Alison Griffin-Waddell and Nick Blanchard fought their way through the C Qualifier, setting up a potential two-game playoff. With Jenny and Edward holding the advantage, Alison and Nick needed to win twice to claim the championship. However, Jenny and Edward sealed the deal in the first playoff game, securing the championship and once again earning the opportunity to represent PEI at the 2025 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Summerside from March 16-21.

Congratulations to Jenny and Ed White on their incredible achievement, and to Alison Griffin-Waddell and Nick Blanchard for an outstanding performance throughout the competition. Thank you to all the teams who participated, and to our sponsors, volunteers, and the Crapaud Community Curling Club for making this event a success.

Bradley and MacKenzie Capture 2025 PEI Seniors Curling Titles

The 2025 PEI Seniors Curling Championships wrapped up at the Summerside Curling Club, with Team Shelly Bradley and Team Eddie MacKenzie claiming the provincial titles and earning the right to represent Prince Edward Island at the Everest Canadian Senior Curling Championships in December.

In the women’s event, Team Shelly Bradley dominated the best-of-five series, securing the championship in three straight games. Their consistent shot-making and strategic play proved too strong for Team London, who put up a strong effort but were unable to force a fourth game.

On the men’s side, Team Eddie MacKenzie emerged victorious in a highly competitive triple knockout format. MacKenzie secured both the A and B qualifiers, while Team Rousseau claimed the C qualifier. This set up a potential two-game playoff on Sunday, with MacKenzie needing just one win to clinch the title. He wasted no time, winning the first game and securing the championship without the need for a second match. Team Rousseau battled hard throughout the event and finished as worthy finalists.

With their victories, Team Bradley and Team MacKenzie will now prepare to represent PEI on the national stage later this year. Congratulations to both teams on their outstanding performances!
