Twenty-six of the best women’s curling teams in the world will descend on New Glasgow this week for the $55,000 Sobeys Slam, one of the elite cashspiels on the women’s circuit.
The event runs from Thursday to Sunday with the final at 3 p.m.
There will be a men’s event this year to go alongside the Sobeys Slam. The $10,000 Atlantic Challenge will feature Shawn Adams, Ian Fitzner-LeBlanc, Mark Kehoe and Doug MacKenzie from Nova Scotia, Russ Howard and Scott Jones from New Brunswick and Peter Gallant and Rod MacDonald from P.E.I.
