The Pepsi Bottling Group PEI Provincial Junior Curling Championships are underway at the Montague Curling Club. Cornwall’s Veronica Smith rink beat Charlottetown’s Megan Davies team 13-1 in the 9 am one-game opening  junior women’s draw. All eight junior men’s teams take to the ice at 12:30 pm, with the second draw in the five team junior women’s division taking place at 4, and another junior men’s round going at 8 pm. Play continues through Wednesday in this triple knockout event, with the winners advancing to the Canadian Juniors, January 29-February 5, in Calgary AB.
