PEI slips to 2-2 after losses to Man. and Sask. at Cdn. Firefighters

It was a tough day for PEI’s Gordon MacFadyen rink at the 52nd Canadian Firefighters Curling Association Muscular Dystrophy Hydrant Curling Championships at the Ogden Legion Curling Club in Calgary Alberta. The Island team lost a close 5-4 decision to Manitoba this morning, when the Western team stole the last end. PEI’s second game, against Saskatchewan, was not close, with PEI losing 9-0 in six ends.  Saskatchewan leads the round robin with a 4-1 win-loss record, followed by BC and Quebec at 3-1, and Manitoba and Nova Scotia at 3-2. PEI and Southern Ontario are next at 2-2.

On Tueday, the Island rink play New Brunswick in the morning draw, and BC in the afternoon.
