Three out of four semi-finalists in the Perth Masters in Perth Scotland were from Canada, but only one, Mike McEwen of Winnipeg, has advanced to the final game, with the Brad Gushue rink, which includes PEI native Adam Casey at second, losing 5-4 to McEwen, and Thomas Ulsrud of Norway downing Steve Laycock of Saskatoon 9-1. The final between Ulsrud and McEwen got underway at 11 PEI time, with McEwen now leading 6-1  after five ends.
