SUMMERSIDE – P.E.I.’s Rod MacDonald rink rebounded from a loss earlier in the day to improve to 2-1 (won-lost) at the 2013 Canadian senior curling championships at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club on Sunday.
MacDonald fell behind the Craig Lepine rink from British Columbia 4-1 after three ends, before scoring a single in the fourth of the afternoon draw.
MacDonald and his teammates then stole three points in the fifth end, and singles in ends six, seven and eight for a 7-4 lead.
Lepine scored a single in the ninth to pull to within two, but left an open takeout for MacDonald in the tenth end to give the Island team an 8-5 win.
