Curling Canada Volunteer of the Year deadline is Jan. 15

Curling Canada has extended its closing date for the 2016 Volunteer of the Year submissions from December 15, 2015 to January 15, 2016.

REMEMBER:  The Volunteer of the Year Award is based on the nominee’s contributions from the previous curling season only. The winner of the 2016 award will be recognized for their efforts during the 2014-2015 season.

THE WINNER:  The winner will receive an all-expense paid weekend trip for two to the Tim Hortons Brier where they will be recognized by Curling Canada during one of the playoff games.

THERE IS MORE:  Provincial / Territorial finalists will receive an exclusive embroidered garment.

HOW TO APPLY:  Log on the Curling Canada Website

  • Click on “About Curling Canada” – located at the top of the web page;
  • In the heading “Your Curling Canada” – scroll to “Awards and Certificates”  (CLICK – the topic);
  • In the “Awards and Certificates” page, – scroll to “Volunteer of the Year Award ” (CLICK – the topic);
  • On the “Volunteer of the Year” page, locate the application form (utilizing the 2015 Volunteer of the Year Form”) and complete as required;
  • Submit your nominations to Curling Canada by the new deadline – January 15, 2016;and
