PEI Canada Games teams drop afternoon games vs. Manitoba. 8 pm Atlantic games vs. Sask. to be livestreamed

PEI’s curling representatives at the Canada Games in Red Deer Alberta are still looking for their first wins after three draws, following losses to Manitoba this afternoon. The Island rinks face Saskatchewan at 8 pm Atlantic, with both games scheduled to be available on live stream at https://canadagames.live/curling

In action this afternoon, Team Ferguson kept the Manitoba rink to a first-end single, and took one of their own in the second, but Manitoba won the next four ends, with a single in the third, and steals of two, one, and two in the next three ends. PEI picked up a deuce in seven with a final score of 7-3 for Manitoba.

Team Schut got off to a great start in their game, stealing a first end single, but Manitoba responded with a triple and a stolen deuce to quickly build up a 5-1 lead. PEI took a single in the fourth, but Manitoba came back with singles in the next three ends for an 8-2 win.
