Jamie Newson-skipped Silver Fox team 0-2 after Monday play at the Canadian Mixed

The Jamie Newson team from the Silver Fox Curling Club in Summerside are PEI’s representatives in the 2020 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, Nov. 3-9, 2019, at Foyer des loisirs et de la culture in Saguenay, Que, and finished their first day with a 0-2 win-loss record. They lost their opener 9-7 to Moncton New Brunswick’s Grant Odishaw rink (2-0) Monday afternoon, and lost 10-3 to Quebec’s Jean-Sébastien Roy (2-0) in the evening. On Tuesday, PEI plays BC at 2 and the Yukon at 7 (Eastern time).

The winner of the 2020 Canadian Mixed Championship will represent Canada at the 2020 World Mixed Curling Championship (dates next October and location TBA by the World Curling Federation).
