The Canada Games is an amazing opportunity for all athletes and coaches who have the opportunity to attend. The process to get to a Canada Games is an opportunity in and of itself; for our future elite curlers to train, develop and spark that interest to be the best they can be.
With sport being paused in PEI for the past four weeks, the curlers have not had the opportunity to be on the ice to hone their skills. As the 2023 Canada Games Curling Trials are only weeks away, the Curl PEI Board of Directors has made the decision to postpone this event to allow the teams time to return to the ice and continue with their development.
The event was scheduled to be held at the Silver Fox Entertainment Complex February 2-6, 2022 and was to decide PEI’s two training teams for the 2023 Canada Games. Curl PEI will evaluate the situation when the current restrictions to sport are lifted.
