  • Qualifying curlers will spend 3 days in Moncton NB receiving top notch instruction, Skill Development Clinics and competing in Singles Competitions, Triples Curling and the Golden Rockfest.

How to Qualify

  • The scoring will all be done through Singles Curling App developed by Curl Canada.  (We have attached a scoresheet you can print to have with you just in case something happens when you are scoring or that you can use a back up.)
  • Curlers are encouraged to try qualifying as many times as they wish.  Besides the 3 designated in-person qualifying events, curlers can also try to qualify on their own with their coach or Jr Coordinator scoring the athlete (note that parents are not allowed to score their son or daughter).
  • Curlers must be 14 or younger as of June 30, 2023.
  • Deadline for submitting scores is February 19, 2024.

Curl PEI adopting CCA Curlcast for live scoring – to debut this weekend for Summerside cashspiel

curlcast

Curl PEI, in partnership with the Canadian Curling Association (CCA) Information Services and Technology Department, and with Curl Atlantic, will be using the CCA’s Curlcast competition results platform to present up-to-date scoring for its provincial championship events, and for some other events, this season. Curlcast will debut this weekend with the Pepsi Atlantic Curling Tour Cashspiel at the Silver Fox, and will be used for the Canada Winter Games selection finals on the 29th and 30th.

The Curlcast results system is hosted on a CCA/ Curl Atlantic server, and runs the CCA’s new-and-improved CurlCast program. Curlcast has been used for many years for the CCA’s national events, was introduced for provincial events at Saskatchewan’s provincial curling association, CURLSASK, in September 2013, and has received further updates for this season.

“This an example of the CCA working closely with Member Associations to ensure that curlers and curling fans are kept up to date with the latest in information and technology,” said CCA Chief Executive Officer Greg Stremlaw.

Attention Curlers!

CurlPEI

Curl PEI has been accepted to participate in a new initiative between Sport PEI and Synergy Fitness and Nutrition, the Sport Performance Training Program: Training for the Future.  This Sport Performance Training Program will provide an integrated system of service delivery in an environment that will help ensure Island athletes are moving toward their performance goals.

The focus of the Sport Performance Training Program will be to provide a menu of services and mechanisms to help provincial sport organization identified athletes develop the mental, physical, technical and tactical requirements to achieve their desired performance outcomes.

The Sport Performance Training Program will cater to the specific developmental needs of provincial level athletes and coaches, and elite athletes transitioning from the provincial to the national level.

Please review the Sport Performance Training Program plan online, here.

Curl PEI must now identify a maximum of 20 curling athletes for this program.  It is our hope the curlers and/or teams who participate in the Sport Performance Training Program will be those competing in our Provincial Championships that lead to National Championships.  Participating curlers will be required to pay a $200 registration fee.

Are you interested?

If you are interested in becoming one of the 20 athletes please complete the application form:
