For the first time since the Brier began, there will be no Prince Edward Island team in the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship. Team PEI (1-2) were eliminated from the pre-qualifiers this afternoon after losing 10-1 to Nova Scotia (3-0). The Yukon team (2-1) beat the Nunavut entry (0-3), also by a 10-1 score, in the other game.
Nova Scotia will now take on Yukon in the “play-in” final on Saturday afternoon, with the winner going to the Tim Hortons Brier.
