ST. JOHN’S – Adam Casey’s Saskatchewan rink fell to .500 at the 2017 Tim Hortons Brier on Thursday morning.
Northern Ontario’s Brad Jacobs counted a deuce with hammer in the eighth end, and then stole a single point in the ninth to defeat Casey 8-5.
Casey, a native of Seven Mile Bay, is now 5-5 (won-lost) while Jacobs improved to 7-3.
The Casey rink will play their final round-robin game at the Canadian men’s curling championship against British Columbia’s John Morris (6-4) on Thursday evening.
