PEI Tankard starts Wednesday

The 2023 PEI Men’s Tankard Curling Championship will take place at the Crapaud Community Curling Club from January 25-29, with eleven teams competing.  The PEI Scotties Tournament of Hearts will take place concurrently at the same venue.

There is no admission charge to watch the event however 50/50 draws will be held with the proceeds going towards the capital fundraiser to Paint the Building (Crapaud Community Curling Club).

The eleven teams entered will be playing a modified triple knockout.  The Adam Casey and Tyler Smith teams have been seeded 1st and 2nd based on their Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS) points.  Draws go daily at 9 am, 2 and 7 pm from the 25th – 28th, with the Championship Round (not needed if a team wins all three draw sections) going Sunday the 29th at 9 am and, if needed, 2 pm.

The winning team will represent PEI at the 2023 Tim Horton’s Brier, March 3-12, at Budweiser Gardens in London, ON.
